Six JAZZ-it! Tips 1.
Check your path to the uncompressed Resource Centre (KLIB/FRMLIB) is correct.
Click on the ADMIN button in the Home menu of the financial statements to verify
the path. 2. Leave
the rounding off in the financial statements until the engagement is completed.
Turning the rounding on and making further changes afterwards puts the
rounding into recalc mode. Rounding must be switched off and on again to correct
the problem.
3.
Units of measurement must be in inches. In CaseView design mode, click
on tools / options / measurements and set to inches. This prevents items like
page numbers from appearing on the left instead of the right side.
4.
Show all lines. In the JAZZ-it! financial statements, make sure you have
the Display option set to "Show all lines" in the Home menu if you want
to insert new linked or manual lines. 5.
Check the sign of the accounts. If balances are coming in with the wrong
sign (i.e. brackets around correct amount), in CaseWare's working trial balance,
verify that all maps starting with 1 are debit, 2 are credit, 3 are credit, 4
are debit, 5 are debit and 8 are debit in the sign column. 6.
Document identifier for the financial statements must be "FS".
In your CaseWare document manager, verify (under document properties) that the
identifier for the JAZZ-it! financial statements is "FS". If the identifier
is anything other than FS, the RC path, company information (including signature
names) will not be shared properly to the JAZZ-it! working papers and letters
in that engagement.
